Neues Forum online!
Da das alte Forum auf einem fremden Server lag, der auch nicht wirklich gewartet war, kam es des Öfteren zu Fehlern und Ausfällen im Forum. Dies war der Grund zur Entscheidung auf ein "richtiges" Forum zu wechseln.Durch die gute Zusammenarbeit vieler Mitglieder konnte dies sehr schnell umgesetzt werden. Unser Dank geht ganz speziell auch an unsere Freunde von revolvermann records, die uns webspace für die Verwirklichung angeboten haben und uns auch in Sachen Verwaltung mächtig unter die Arme greifen.
Das Archiv des alten Forums kann leider, wegen der schlechten Wartung, nicht ins Neue eingebunden werden und wird früher oder später wohl auch ganz von der Oberfläche verschwinden.
Das neue Forum konnte bis dato noch nicht visuell angepasst werden, wird aber demnächst geschehen. Auch ein Live-Chat wird noch eingebaut um die Kommunikation zwischen den Usern zu verbessern.
Der Grundstein für den Umzug ist also gelegt. Jetzt heißt es die Threads zu füllen, also meldet euch an und werdet Teil der "neuen" Gemeinde.

NEWS: Post Rock Community - The Compilation Vol. 2 (SUBMISSIONS WANTED!)
FINAL CALL TO PARTICIPATE!
Submission deadline: 31 December 2010.
It's been a year ago (LINK) since we started the idea creating a compilation with unsigned bands out of the community. It took some time to have it done and it really was a lot of work but i think the first compilation was very succesfull. We got so much requests and response from all over the world. More infos on Volume 1 & Free Download -> Volume 1
Today is the day where Volume 2 is born.
About the release of Volume 2:
We have in mind to make it a double-cd release this time. (depends on submissions)
It will also be for free download again.
The package will be similar to Volume 1 -> Have a look here.
Submission deadline will be 31 December 2010.
The song maximum-length is set to 8 minutes. Keep that in mind.
Your submission doesn't have to be pure Post Rock.
There will be physical releases of this compilation. (amount will be discussed soon)
The physical releases will be fragmented and sent to every single band.
When you will be confirmed to appear on the compilation your band have to pay for the physical releases. The estimated price for one copy will be 4€. Please let us know how much you'd be willing to pay & how many copies you want.
You can sell it wherever you want (live events, online, whatever...). The price for the selling itself depends on you.
This idea is a good promotion for you because every appearing band will sell it from different global places.
What do you have to do to appear on the compilation?
Send us an email with the subject "Volume 2 - your bandname" to "postrockcommunity[at]hotmail[dot]de"
Add infos to the email:
Bandname - Trackname
Add all links (myspace, etc...)
If the track is released already tell us the releasename and date of the release
If not just tell us that it's "not released yet"
Add a short bio
How much you'd be willing to pay for physical copies & desired amount
track limit is 8 minutes!
The track has to be in .wav! No transcodes! (We will verify that)
Downloadlink to a mastered version of the track
Downloadlink to a unmastered version of the track (If possible)
How do you have better chances for appearing on the sampler?
Not released tracks has a better chance.
Additionally to the email you can present your project in one of our our Forum to get better chances.

Can you appear with a cover artwork?
Yes.

Post Rock Community ENGLISH-Forum ONLINE!!!!!!!!
Hi buddies The german forum (launched on 5th of august 2008) is really doing well and i decided to offer a forum for our english readers.
The german forum originated many friendships, people with same taste in music came together, recommended each other good bands, helped each other with musical projects, travelled through europe using the members to sleep on their couch and saving money, met in real-life and a lot more good things happened there...
See it as a chance for you to increase your musical knowledge and to get in contact with other musicians, illustrators or whatever. Having good contacts is a very important thing if you want heard with your tunes.
So, sign in and have fun.

PostRockCommunity ONLINE-HINT: TubeRadio!
What is TubeRadio? TubeRadio combines YouTube with LastFM and Spotify-services and makes it available online with an itunes-mask (Screenshot here). YouTube has playlists too but is limited to 200 videos per playlist. TubeRadio has no limitations. Get the lyrics, search similar artists, read the bio of the artists and more. Here is a little explanation-video how it works.For me (as a fan of itunes, lastfm and youtube) it is one of the most enjoyable stuff that's out there in the world wide web for now. That's why i want to support this programme. I searched some HD-Music-videos and made a playlist to watch 'em on my HD-TV set which is also accessibly in public (Link is listed below). Tune in into my channel, turn on shuffle and fullscreen and enjoy or just make your own list. Have fun with this.
PS.: HD (720p+) MusicVideos are still very rare on youtube. If you know some interesting videos in HD just post it into the comments or contact me on lastfm. Thank you in advance!

POSTROCKCOMMUNITY-RADIO IS ONLINE!!!
Currently it is in the prearrangement, that means i have to upload all songs from the blog and the shuffle mode is on at the present (later i will create radioshows with classified genres but this can take weeks). So be sure that the tunes are very mixed up at this point. It takes a lot of time to upload all tracks. From day to day there will be more songs available for stream. Ambient, Post Rock, Shoegaze, Experimental, Jazz, Sludge, Post Metal, Psychedelic, Progressive, Electronica, Black Metal and much more!!! The idea of this radio is that ALL SONGS you will hear on this radio ARE AVAILAIBLE ON THE BLOG. So, tune in, get interested in a tune, change to the blog, search the artist you are interested in and download their whole album. Have fun buddies :)Stay tuned for further informations.
