From the farthest reaches of space and the soul comes Release the Drones, a collection of various songs that go from psychedelic doomy to fun and groovy. Layers of guitar, drum machine, samples, effects, filters, and just general weirdness. Darkly psychedelic and dangerously hypnotic, emotionally charged and slightly neurotic. So stomp your feet, clap your hands, drink some booze, take some Shamanistic substances, and lock yourself in the darkest room in the house with a lampshade on your head. The main thing is, enjoy yourself.

Sehr geiler düsterer Ambient/Psychedelic/Industrial-Mix von einem Herren aus West Virginia. 8.5/10! Empfehlenswert. Leider alles nur mit 128kbit vorhanden. FaveTracks "Into the Depths I Cast Thee" & "I Can't, I Won't" und noch einige mehr...

A Swarm Of The Sun - The King Of Everything (EP) (2007)

Schweden wieder einmal. Ich liebe es. A Swarm Of The Sun ist eine sehr experimentelle Post Metal Formation. Man merkt hier wirklich, dass sie sehr beeinflusst sind von Bands aus verschiedensten Sparten. Mal erinnern sie mich an Rosetta, im nächsten Augenblick an Tool, dann wieder ef, ... Das Spiel könnte ich jetzt endlos fortsetzen. Sie wahren dennoch eine Eigenständigkeit in ihrer Musik. Was bei ihnen einzigartig ist ist das teilweise Industrial angehauchte. Man merkt hier einfach, dass sie die Musik aus Leidenschaft machen. Freu mich schon auf ein Full-Album, die EP ist für meinen Geschmack etwas zu kurz geraten. Aber sie befinden sich derzeit in den Studios um uns in naher Zukunft zu beglücken. Unterm Strich, Laden, Genießen!
